Through Farret, who received <a rel="mw:WikiLink" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/Shelter_Island_(town),_New_York" title="Shelter Island (town), New York" class="mw-redirect" id="mwATs">Shelter Island</a> and <a rel="mw:WikiLink" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/Robins_Island" title="Robins Island" id="mwATw">Robins Island</a>, Alexander in turn sold most of the eastern island to the <a rel="mw:WikiLink" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/New_Haven_Colony" title="New Haven Colony" id="mwAT0">New Haven</a> and <a rel="mw:WikiLink" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/Connecticut_Colony" title="Connecticut Colony" id="mwAT4">Connecticut</a> colonies.
