Long Island is home to the
Long Island Ducks independent league team of the
Atlantic League. Their stadium,
Bethpage Ballpark, is in
Central Islip. The
Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball team, affiliated with the
New York Mets, plays in the
High-A classification
South Atlantic League. The Cyclones play at
MCU Park just off the
Coney Island Boardwalk in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The
New York Dragons of the
Arena Football League played their home games at
Nassau Coliseum. The two main
rugby union teams are the Long Island RFC in
East Meadow and the Suffolk Bull Moose in
Stony Brook.
