A number of specific recommendations have been made for women including taking aspirin after the 11th week of pregnancy if there is a history of previous chronic high blood pressure and taking blood pressure medications during pregnancy if the blood pressure is greater than 150mmHg systolic or greater than 100mmHg diastolic. In those who have previously had preeclampsia, other risk factors should be treated more aggressively.
