Best display pattern in Privacy Center:
1. Overview
- card: Private History
- short copy: “On-device history used for insights, engagement tracking, and health analytics.”
- status: stored locally / encrypted / syncing
1. Private History
- section: App Activity
- section: Post Engagement
- section: Health Insights
- controls: retention, delete history, sync toggle if allowed
1. Vault
- 2FA
- sensitive auth/session items
1. Sync
- sync for private history
- sync for vault items
Important distinction:
- Private History = private behavioral and analytics data
- Vault = highly sensitive secrets requiring stronger lock semantics
That keeps analytics private without pretending it is the same kind of thing as 2FA codes.
Copy example for the card:
Private History
“Stores your on-device engagement, post activity, and health-related analytics for personalized insights.”
If you want it even cleaner, rename Private History to one of these:
- Activity History
- Private Insights
- Personal History
My recommendation:
Use Private History if privacy is the primary framing.
Use Personal Insights if usefulness is the primary framing.
For your app, Private History is probably the safest and clearest.
